Acceptable use policy

Last updated 9 September 2026

Consent

Only message recipients who have agreed to hear from you. You must be able to demonstrate how and when consent was obtained if an operator or regulator asks.

Honouring opt-outs

Stop messaging anyone who asks you to stop. The platform provides a per-account opt-out list that is enforced at send time — use it. Messages to numbers on that list are rejected before any charge is made.

Prohibited content

Do not send content that is fraudulent or deceptive, promotes illegal activity, facilitates phishing or the harvesting of credentials, advertises unlicensed financial or gambling services, is obscene, or harasses the recipient.

Sender identity

Do not impersonate another business, brand or public institution. Sender IDs must plausibly represent you. Disguising the origin of a message is grounds for immediate suspension.

Technical conduct

Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, share credentials between organisations, resell platform access without agreement, or use the API in a way that degrades service for other customers.

Regulatory compliance

You remain responsible for complying with Nigerian Communications Commission rules on commercial messaging, including any restrictions on messaging hours and required identification of the sender.

Enforcement

We may suspend sending, withdraw a sender ID, or close an account that breaches this policy. Where an operator requires immediate action, suspension may occur before we are able to notify you.

Reporting misuse

If you receive a message from our platform that breaches this policy, report it to the support address below with the sender ID and the message text.
