Billed per segment at ₦5.85. A message up to 160 characters is one segment; longer messages are split into 153-character parts, because the concatenation header consumes the difference.

How billing works

The rules, in full

What counts as a segment?

A message up to 160 characters is one segment. Beyond that it splits into 153-character parts, because the concatenation header takes the remaining space. A single message is capped at 10 segments.

When am I charged?

The wallet is debited when the message is accepted. For bulk campaigns the debit happens once, as the campaign is prepared — if your balance cannot cover it, nothing is created and nothing is charged.

What if a message fails?

It is refunded automatically as a separate ledger entry. Messages that never leave the platform are also swept and refunded on a schedule, without you having to ask.

Do non-GSM characters cost more?

Messages containing characters outside the GSM-7 alphabet (including many emoji) are encoded as UCS-2, which shortens the per-segment limit. The calculator above uses GSM-7 lengths.

How do I add funds?

Through the client portal, by card or transfer via Paystack. The balance is credited as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Is there a free trial?

The sandbox is free and unlimited — you can build and test the entire integration, including webhooks, before funding a wallet.
